The actress gained immediate fame in the media. Her association in the company of Estee Lauder has been the highlight of Hurley's career. Hurley models for and designs his own beachwear collection. Katy Perry..........................Katy Perry original name Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson, (born October 25 1984 Santa Barbara California U.S.) American pop singer who gained fame for a string of anthemic and often sexually suggestive hit songs as well as for a playfully cartoonish sense of style. Perry's initial attempts to become an established star failed. Two different record labels signed her but removed her from the market before she'd made any music. Capitol Records, however, launched Perry's Ur So Gay album in 2007 which was received with moderate success for the album's title track. "I Loved a Girl a straightforward ode that expresses sexual desire accompanied by a hardedged electro pop beat caused her to make a bigger splash within a couple of months. The song caused controversy and some critics accused it of encouraging sexual relations between men and women, while others asserting that the explicit sexual scenario depicted was designed to appeal to the sexual fantasies of males. The combination of sensuality, polished music and a catchy chorus helped to make it a top ten song in a variety of countries. This led to the album One of the Boys (2007) selling well. Hot N Cold's sharp, bouncy second single was also extremely popular. The album that Perry wrote in large part sold more than three million copies.
